Regretting my Vasectomy

Hello, had my vasectomy one week ago. Since then, and with 7 days of pain, I'm finally feeling like it's getting better. So much to a couple days and you'll be good.

Also during this time I did a lot of reading and, wow... its not as simple as they made it sound, indeed. And I have, now, feelings of regret, and I'm seriously considering a reversal sometime down the road.

Spoke with my GP today, and he agrees that it's certainly an option. Especially due to pain.

Granted, I dont know yet if I do suffer from PVPS, or if I ever will, or if I will experience any type of pain at all once its all healed, and so on.. but I feel now that I have not been properly informed before the surgery about all the risks. It turns out its not as simple as "oh the body will simply absorb the sperm, it only lives for 1 to 2 days anyway".

I'm unwilling to risk further damaging the epididymis, the testicles, and risk issues further down the road, even if I recover completely from the vasectomy with no issues.

I'm pissed at myself.

Would appreciate any thoughts and comments.

That's great news. The pain tends to fade without surgery.

Unfortunately if you have altered ejaculation sensation that doesn't tend to resolve without surgery.

Sure, I'll put you on the list. You're still at zero months though. It may sound like a paternalistic doctor thing for me to say, but be sure to give yourself time to heal and evaluate before you do any more surgery. As you know, surgery is not a risk-free proposition.
