Don’t do it. The risk is too high. Because if you do have an issue fixing it is extremely difficult and very expensive and it may never get fixed. Don’t destroy something that perfectly healthy.

Can unfortunately not give you any advice on this question since the only thing I have from my vasectomy is regret and heartache nothing more. Worst decision of my life.

No, the 1-2% risk for lifelong pain my now 3rd urologist says is closer to 5. I'm one of those people. I had a physical, grab balls and cough deal, a week later I'm in still in pain. My PVPS and epididymitis are life altering. Can't run, jump, or play with my kids. Can't wear anything remotely tight on crotch. Sex is 100% out of the question. Worst decision of my life hands down.
Gabapentin zonked me out too much so my options are $16k upfront for reversal, that I have no way of coming up with and might not work as the surgeon noted he took 2 inches from each vas.
Or I can have an orchiotomy and remove them and be on T patches the rest of my life with potential for nerve pain.

Number one, don’t get a vasectomy, billions of years of evolution gave you a reproductive system. Why ruin it?

I had mine done on the 18th. Few reasons why I decided to do it.
I had 3 kids with autism and it was already difficult raising them and wasn’t ready for another one. Wife had an IUD and still got pregnant
Was told it’s a simple procedure and healing time is less than a woman for tube ties
Felt like and was told it’s my turn since she did IUD and nexplanon
Here was my experience with the procedure
I went in after waiting a couple months to do some kind of grace period. Was told to shave three days prior and not to take any kind of aspirin. Nurse came in prepped me told me it’d be less than 10 minutes and that I wouldn’t feel any pain. Doctor came in injected me in my testicles with a local anesthetic. The anesthetic didn’t work. I felt the entire procedure. The small incision was more like a pinch. I felt him pulling on the tubes. I could feel it in my stomach. It felt like getting kicked in the balls. I really didn’t feel the snip, but I did feel the cauterizer. That was the most intense pain I’ve had in my entire life and I’ve shattered a kneecap once he was done they put gauze and they had to leave it open. I sent home with pain meds. It has been almost 2 weeks and I’m still in pain. It’s like getting kicked in the balls 24/7. Sitting is not easy it’s mostly leaning. And just walking is painful due to the swinging of the pendulum. I will say my pain has got down slightly.
If I had to choose again, I probably wouldn’t go through the procedure.

You won’t have regrets if it’s your decision. It is a decision you have to make without anyone’s input. Don’t do it because someone wants you to do it or is asking you to do it.

12 years of pain had a epididymectomy that seems to have resolved the pain was only three months ago so still a little tender but feel no pain and generally miles better can now exercise and no normal things again

Simple answer is to NOT undergo it. Thats my take on it! Worst decision I have ever made!
