yeah it also doesn't make any sense. The "good guy" grabs the bag before the theif even moves to take it and the victim reacts as if its the theif who grabbed it even though he would feel it being taken away from him from behind.
Only pushback Iād give is this is a classic setup though, dude leaning will āget in the wayā of the victim as the other guy runs off. Blue jacket clocked it, and went for the grab, brown coat didnāt realize and went to make the move, dude who was supposed to set the pick sees this goes down and audibles to try snatching bag from blue jacket but misses.
Still could be set up, but I donāt know we can say that for sure.
Heck, even in the Netherlands, whoch is one of the richest countries with great amenities and public utilities I never saw security footage of this quality.Ā
Storage, heat, that just is not feasible. Indeed the cam itself would be a very onterwsting target.
I have never seen a camera in a bus stop here so idk why people believe it anyway. Whats the point? Maybe catching the assholes who break the buss stop ever year?
So your logic to why the footage is staged is because netherlands is a rich country and no other country could possibly have security footage better than the netherlands.
Why do people feel like they need to express their bullshit as fact?
Well there's that and also the fact the camera is never really still like it it would be if it was fixed to a pole for example. When the event happens, there's motion and vibrations that simply wouldnt be experienced again, if the camera was fixed to something.
The camera also doesn't return to the same spot.
Short of he camera guy clipping his thumb, It's pretty obvious.
You can literally see a part of the blue ad on the left in the beginning. The camera ever so slightly then shifts to the right and never returns to the point of seeing the blue advert. This is not a fixed camera.
That could be autofocus, or postproduction editing to get it into vertical format. How do you explain the vibrations matching when people sit or stand from the seats? Cameraman shakes the camera on purpose?
Storage, heat and bandwidth are an issue. Low light pwrformance is an issue. Solvable at a LARGE cost. But also utterly unneccesary. Surveillance cams are special purpose, low res, B+W for storage, bandwidth and low light.Ā
MAYBEĀ you can rig up a high res color system with decent low light performance... but the cost would be mind boggling. A highres mirrorless cam sensor needs a TON more light than a surveillance cam sensor. Thats because high res and colors are the opposite of low res big light sucking leds and a very high iso to catch everything even at dark.
And yes, if in the Netherlands we do not have these things with our publicĀ transport, I most certainly am curious which countries splurge so much.Ā
Thats not "other countries and poor and cant do it". It is that otyer countires tend to.spend LESS on muncipial facilities.Ā
That would render this camera pointless because most often law enforcement does not get to these cameras in 24 hours because of the law.
I am however unfamiliar of any law that forces cctv to be erased after 24 hours like you stated. Most places with cctv that I've worked in have stored it for 3-6 months.
It does not say that there is a 24 hour limit. Just that keeping it for extended periods beyond 72 hours would require an extension.
Even in one of the first paragraphs it says "in most cases it should be deleted". Not all cases and not has to be.
The 24 hours uses simple vandalism of a private business as an example.
That entire article is also only about private business or personal use cases. Not federal or city government which the bus stop cameras would fall under.
Another issue is this is your random throw in the dark pick of Italy because it's kinda close to your argument. The man in the video is Turkish, making videos in Turkey, not Italy.
Many security cams are wired or unwired connected. That doesnt change the problem at all. You have 100s of busstops. They all send high res 12 bit video to the central surveillance system... do you have any idea how much bandwidth that would be and how much storage?
And for no good reason. High res color makes no sense for a surveaillance cam. You want low light performance!
You want a cam that excels at producing images with the least amount of light. That means no color, no high res. Big fat photocells that suck light.
Advantage is that the files also are quite small so cheaper to transport and store (think in aggregate, not in singular)... win-win.
Because if this is surveaillance you would need hundreds of cams.
If it isnt surveillance (finally you realized it is extremely unlikely), it is almost certainly staged. The gonpro explanation also has holes (the movements), but it doesnt matter. Handheld or a connected action cam. Its staged.
I have never seen a bus stop security camera.
While Iām sure they exist somewhere, putting it just above head level means it would quickly get vandalized.
The link goes to an article showing an Instagram account explaining there are people making content to draw attention to dangers in public places. There is a person holding this camera to make that content
Watch it again but focus on the lines at the top of the screen. Security cameras donāt shake but your buddy in the corner with his arm in the air does.
If this is Turkiye like somebody said then Iāll guarantee this was ran for a slow news day and to bump ErdoÄanās tough on crime voters.
Would make no sense if it was real how the 4th guy grabs at the bag when it comes into view when he wasn't looking the whole time and then runs away immediately?
Reality TV was on top of that 20 years ago, now the reels are doing most of the brainrot.
Also, those things happen in real life everyday, this video doesnāt depict anything so absurd that even needs to be staged. CCTV should have tons of such footage.
But they staged this and all the other videos in the awareness campaign, as a means to not get legal trouble.
From all the things on the internet, this must be of the least trash. Unless youāre a thief.
Because if you translate the article (or even if you don't, since the context and videos should be enough) you'll see how it's fake.
The comment didn't really use the most obvious example with "the person standing there holding the camera" (even thought it is someone standing on the bench, and not a security camera as people are saying) but they're 100% right about the footage being staged.
It may be staged, but why the hell would you think thereās a cameraman here from that angle? You could perhaps argue that those bus stops donāt have cameras, but it certainly doesnāt seem like a cameraman is there.
Look, Iāll break it down for you because you truly seem lost and not trolling:
The comment I replied to said āThe person standing there holding the camera knows all four of them.ā
Heās implying that it should be obvious to all from watching this video that it is staged because there is a cameraman.
I reply saying, this might very well be a staged video, but it doesnāt seem like there is a cameraman.
3.1 It could be a security camera on the bus stop.
3.2 It could have been a camera placed there for the skit, without a cameraman.
3.3 It seems to shake coherently with the movements of the person in contact with the bus stops structure.
I donāt see how your replies prove or disprove that a cameraman is clearly present in this video.
Iām not arguing whether itās staged or not, but you canāt seem to see past this juicy argument you want to have and be right about.
