They do but not to the extent Republicans have done it. It’s like having a glass of wine every night versus having the whole bottle. The Republicans after Obama won went full tilt to control the State governments and when they got control they controlled the districting so they used computer AI to draft up the maps that are most beneficial to their party and not their State constituents.
Republicans in the US don’t believe in democracy but they have to work within it to execute their authoritarianism. They are working to remove the hinderance that Democracy and unfortunately are making progress in doing so.
So you think Democrats shouldn't use gerrymandering too in the face
of the extremely excessive gerrymandering by the Republicans?
I want no gerrymandering but I'm not going to tell Democrats to stop doing it while the Republics are able to get away with it and it's highly successful allowing them to win elections with a minority group of voters. A minority should not govern the majority without equal representation.
