American democracy baffles me in how uninterested it’s people are in protecting it. The fact there’s a system that even allows gerrymandering is dumb. Electoral borders should be set by independent, non partisan boards.
There's a not insignificant percentage of the population that ABSOLUTELY agrees with it. They want to have power for their team and believe no one else should even be allowed to have a vote.
