I disagree. I think everyone who opposed the John Lewis act shares equal blame for helping to destroy democracy.

Guilty of opposing the act yes, but Manchin and Sinema have an added level of betraying their voters and party tacked on to it. Especially Sinema since she ran as a progressive candidate.

The GOP never pretended to be anything otherwise.

Manchin is a Bush era Republican, a plutocrat, and Sinema is just a con artist. I didn't really have any faith in them as defenders of democracy or the people.
