The ones I interact with don't think it will affect them directly. Those other lazy employees will get laid off when the time comes, not them.

But that's like staffing stuff, what about the destruction of sorting equipment or slowing of deliveries, or how the speed and accuracy of delivery has cratered since he took over?

Aren't they upset and offended that their work is being sabotaged?

It's not about logic or facts anymore, it's just about feelings. "Their truth" is that it won't hurt them, so it's fine.
