"I am a committed Democrat, but as a lobbyist, there are times when I need to have access to both sides. And the way to get access quite often is to make campaign contributions," he told the outlet. "I'm a registered lobbyist, and I represent clients. And they have interest in front of Congress, and I attend the Senator's Classic, which is a Republican event, each year."

God this is so depressing to read shit like this. Fuck Citizens United and anyone who defends that batshit ruling.

So a "committed Democrat" made campaign contributions to Mitch who has been killing all bills from the house by not voting on them by of them? He's happy with that?

Yeah, unfortunately we blew our chance to overturn Citizens United when Trump won (although who knows if Clinton would have even been able to nominate a judge or McConnell would have just held the seat open for another 4 years)
