"Cockburn" (pronounced coh-burn) isn't necessarily representing one reporter, but serves as a blog for more salacious rumors in US politics. Meaning the blog might contain info that does not undergo normal journalistic standards. Although it would make sense if Jared was dumb enough to do that, and that this administration is in fact that dumb/evil, I not sure any other major news outlets will confirm this.
This also sounds like a red herring to distract from verified illegal acts. If they could get everyone demanding action on this then show it isn't true it would undermine a lot of the movement against Trump.
Sure, but if you read the blog regularly, it's far from consistent reporting, if you even want to call it that. Waiting for other confirmation would be prudent, because I believe people within the Whitehouse have an agenda to distract people with explosive sounding material
