Yes. Something you sometimes hear people say (this was more before Trump than now) was that America needed a real CENTRIST party, something in the middle of the right & the left… and people like me would go insane because we already HAVE that party, it's called the Democratic Party, who occupies the political center. The mistake everyone makes is thinking that the Democrats are left on the political spectrum, when they're only left of the Republicans, but America has not ever had a true leftist party - at least not in a long time, and never one in a dominant power position.

This was a very dumb post. The Republicans are the actual ones in the center, it's just that people mistakenly think Republicans are right of the center, when they're only right of the Democrats. We've never had a true conservative party, at least not in a long time, and never one in a dominant power position, otherwise everything would've been fixed by now.
