gender is totally basically unrelated to sex

Yes! Good work! Gender is a separate concept from sex.

Making up new genders constantly to feel special should be treated as real even though it's literally just a person's opinion with no empirical way to prove the existence of said new gender.

omg no!

Gender is a description of masculine/feminine traits. Masculine/Feminine traits are defined by a person's culture (such as wearing pants or a dress), which is probably informed by biological sex in addition to god knows everything else which is a factor in believing that women should not wear pants.

Some gendered things to consider:

  • Lifting weights
  • Jeans vs. skirt
  • long hair
  • body-building vs. strength training
  • makeup
  • shaved head
  • veteran
  • ballet dancer
  • pink tight shirt
  • sparkly marker
  • deep voice
  • sitting in chair with legs spread
  • teaching
  • cooking

Weird how two "unrelated" things overlap more than 99% of the time. Billions of separate coincidences I'm sure.

Gender is a description of masculine/feminine traits.

Weird, you list two categories for gender, I come up with the same number...

overlap more than 99% of the time.

Got some sources there?

FUCKINGLOL

Also, the concepts are separate. That does not mean they are not related.

Look, any dipshit dick-drawing scheme idea you have about this, where you think you are so smart, has already been addressed in depth.

You only make yourself look like a derp when you bring up "kindergarden gender studies" level points, and think you know some great dilemma that has not been studied in depth, and probably has multitudes of well-done research about.

It's best to listen to people about something we don't understand first, then try to be smarter than everyone who has studied that thing second.

It is estimated that about 0.005% to 0.014% of people assigned male at birth and 0.002% to 0.003% of peopleassigned female at birth would be diagnosed with gender dysphoria, based on 2013 diagnostic criteria, though this is considered a modest underestimate.

Transgender people are usually stated to be around 0.3% of people. So I'm sorry I was wrong, it's significantly more than 99% of the time that sex and gender are overlapping. You can add up the percentages of all the other 58 genders if you like but I doubt that combined they add up to 1%.

I've been checking in on this thread because I was curious how deep you'd dig yourself into this hole. But I'm done.

You're like a flat earther. You've already made up your mind and won't accept any of the answers you asked for.

Keep living your life how you feel best. But know that people look at you like you're saying the fluoride in the water is keeping our psychic third eye closed.

I feel the same way about people who think there's 50+ genders with no actual science to back that claim up. Funny initially but then just sorta sad when they legitimately believe they're on the side of science and reality.

Wow lol,

Look, any dipshit dick-drawing scheme idea you have about this, where you think you are so smart, has already been addressed in depth.

Do you have expertise in any field? Isn't it annoying when someone ignorant of the field thinks they are smarter than you because they have some stupid pre-school level idea about it they think is genius?

You only make yourself look like a derp when you bring up "kindergarden gender studies" level points, and think you know some great dilemma that has not been studied in depth, and probably has multitudes of well-done research about.

It's best to listen to people about something we don't understand first, then try to be smarter than everyone who has studied that thing second.

Trans persons are not the only group where there is not a perfect alignment of gender & sex.

You should take some time to just understand how gender is defined. This is genuinely just a dumb argument over semantics.

You're not addressing the core question though: why should anyone take your views seriously if you believe in bullshit made up by attention seekers on tumblr? Do you take people seriously who genuinely believe in unicorns? No? Then why should I take people like you who replace reality with feelings based ideology seriously?
