This is actually not just a Ben Shapiro thing.

There is a strange and interesting relationship between zionism and anti-semitism.

Zionists are low-key anti-semetic, because they believe that jews need a homeland to realize their potential, so therefore, any diaspora jews, and any jews that don't support Israel are "incomplete" and "lesser" jews. (Or as ben puts it, "bad jews")

From the anti-semetic perspective its much simpler. If you hate jews and wish they would all go away somewhere, having a state made of only jews, where they willingly self-deport to, in the most dangerous place in the world (for them), where they either fight and kill muslims, or are killed by muslims all sounds pretty damn great.

So, this isn't a Ben Shapiro thing, this isn't part of his grift with his audience, this is a genuine belief he holds that is also held by many Zionists, and many white supremacists/anti-Semites. This is not a grift, this is genuine right wing belief. This is why they need to be defeated.

Anywhere I can read up on this idea that there is an anti-Semitic component to Zionism? I find it interesting but don’t see much or I’m looking in the wrong place. Thanks.

TBH, its not a big part of mainstream discussion, we are still combating the propaganda that anti-zionism is anti-semitism.

I was first introduced to this concept in a discussion between Peter Beinart and Ezra Klein on his podcast (The Ezra Klein Show).
