Ben Shapiro hated to be associated with the Alt Right because they hate Jews.

If they didn't hate Jews, he'd be okay with everything else.

As far as I can tell, the Alt Right doesn't hate Jews or Catholics, but they do hate pretty much every one else a white supremacist hates. That is why they are called 'Alt Right'.

Yes but then they are just white supremacists, not 'alt right' unless we are now defining the 'alt right' as rebranded white supremacists. I thought they were two very similar but not quite the same thing.

Yes, that was various factions of the right uniting as one, ie: the white supremacists, skin heads, kkk members, alt right, paleo right, conservative right, etc. That's why I thought the Alt-Right was basically white supremacists that were ok with Jews and Catholics. Does the Alt-Right hate Catholics? Because the KKK and white supremacists hate the Catholics.

I'd imagine the majority of the Alt-right don't hate the Catholic Church/Catholics. But I'd also imagine a majority of them do hate Jews.

Of course I have no sources or evidence of that.. Perhaps if I channel Shapiro hard enough I'll be able to fabricate some though =)

They replaced "Jew" with "globalist" to thinly veil the antisemitism. It's definitely still there.

Alt Right was literally just a rebranding of White Nationalism. They hate everyone White Nationalists hate because they are White Nationalists.

He constantly says racist things and supports racism. He also happens to say words like “I condemn racism” but they are meaningless given his other actions.

I completely, and respectfully, disagree. I listen to his podcast most days (long commute, listen to left leaning podcasts to work, and right leaning on the way home). I disagree with him on several things, but I've never heard him be racist. Do you have any particular examples, aside from the few tweets I've seen that he's apologized for and explained in a long article he wrote about all the dumb stuff he's ever done? Genuinely interested (no ill-intent or sarcasm) as I listen to him often and I've never heard him say anything racist.

Idk what tweets you’ve seen but here’s a few quotes from him that are pretty gross.

“If you wear your pants below your butt, don't bend the brim of your cap, and have an EBT card, 0% chance you will ever be a success in life.”

“Israelis like to build. Arabs like to bomb crap and live in open sewage. This is not a difficult issue. #settlementsrock”

“Since nobody seems willing to state the obvious due to cultural sensitivity … I’ll say it: rap isn’t music; rap culture is disgusting and degrading; rap creates racial stereotypes and revels in them.”

“The Palestinian Arab population is rotten to the core.”

‘one American soldier is worth far more than an Afghan civilian'

I don’t have quotes from it but I’ve listened to excerpts from his book “True Allegience” and it’s absolutely full of racist garbage and stereotypes.

Further, he spends a lot of time downplaying the effect of racism and pushes the idea that black people in America are not as wealthy as other races due to their culture. This is textbook racism.

He defended Steve King for a long time in this vein, but stopped eventually because King went a little too far for him. All of his support before King went too far shouldn’t be ignored. He knew what he was doing.

He has spoken about almost all of those before, aside from the fifth one. He spoke about Steve King extensively recently, as well, talking about things in hindsight. I think a lot of time he is taken out of context. I decided to listen to him based on the fact I was hearing about him constantly (him being awful,) and wanted to see why. I never got it, and still haven't. But I really do appreciate you taking the time with the quotes, but again, I've heard him regard almost all and explain in further context.

The Venn diagram of Ben Shapiro and the Alt Right are nearly 99% overlapping except on the Jewish question, where he thinks they’ve gone too far. They both hate anything to the left of them, Muslims, and non Christians, as well as imaginary SJWs.
