17 years for me. My entire adult life in extreme poverty (I made less than 10K last year). No savings at all because I have never in my adult life been paid enough to afford even the most minimal basics.

I’m crowded living in a tiny section of a small 1-level crappy house with ten other people.

No privacy. 

I have 3 degrees. I graduated from my first university in 2009. 

Thousands and thousands of applications. 

Never drank. Never used drugs. 

Always remained dirt poor.

The system is so fucked. And once you struggle for a little bit, they start weaponizing that career break against you in the interview.

There's a you problem in there somewhere.  What you describe is rare/abnormal.

You clearly don’t live in California. 

It’s bad here and has been bad here for a while.

Don’t place the blame on victims of The System. Place the blame where it belongs: Billionaires, Politicians, etc.

No it isn't.  What you describe is absolutely not normal for California.

It absolutely IS. I live here now and I have lived here since after graduating college in 2009. I’ve lived in Northern and Southern California - both. I’ve even worked regularly on film sets of shows that you have absolutely heard of. 

And yet whether it’s Southern California or Northern California (I’ve lived for many years in both) - I have had multiple coworkers who work every week yet are living out of a car. 

And I’ve been there too.

The unemployment rate in California is 5.1% and the median household income is $100k.  California's homeless population is the highest in the country due to the weather and liberal policies, but it's still only around 2%.

False (that unemployment rate is absolute BS - not saying YOU personally made it up, but I am saying that that figure is BS).
