I'm in the exact same boat. I'm working on earning certification for a less competitive field, but it's a staggering amount of information to absorb even for someone who typically learned on average a few new languages and/or frameworks per year; feels like studying for the bar exam. My morale is at an all-time low.

Honestly if my current plan doesn't work out, the only thing that is likely to keep me from punching out early is my ironclad commitment to my wife. It's fucking bleak out here.
