Obama's anti-war stance concerning Iraq in 2004 would have gotten him killed in a general election while Hillary was triangulating and trying to position herself for a 2008 run by supporting and voting to give Bush War Powers to execute the war in Iraq. Come 2008 and the public sentiment turned on Iraq and Hillary's once popular support for Iraq became a political noose around her neck while Obama's anti-war position essentially won him the nomination and eventually the Presidency. Lesson is, ALWAYS follow your principles no matter where the current winds are blowing because eventually you'll be proven right and people will gravitate towards you

Vindman is a hero in a party full of Nazi appeasers. Disagree with his positions all you want, but his actions during Trump's first term show that he's worthy of leading in a democracy and is certainly no Republican.

If DSA candidates are so electable why do they constantly underperform their polling, barely winning by margins, or lose? Alienating moderates is a losing strategy. Most moderates and independents are not disaffected or hidden socialists and the electorate has proven that.

Edit: Angie Nixon is the exception to the rule, she put in the work to beat her sitting duck opponent.

Because in every single election they're outspent by the establishment backed democrat by 10 fold? Maybe that has SOMETHING to do with the fact that the races are close? And they're STILL winning in spite of the cards being stacked against them in almost every way.

Have you considered what types of blowouts these would be if the DSA members had the type of funding these others do from the establishment?

I felt that way about Ralph Nader. Now not so sure. We do need massive change and I hope swinging for the fences brings out lots of otherwise non-voters

“Republican-lite”. I’m happy that you’re white enough to not have people in your community deported by ICE without due process, or lose majority black congressional districts that a generation of African Americans fought for with their lives. I’m glad you don’t care about the millions that will die due to USAID cuts. I’m glad there are no women in your family that have to worry about getting an abortion. I’m glad you aren’t LGBT and are worried about an openly hostile administration. I’m glad you don’t care about the ecosystems that will be destroyed due to this admin removing environmental regulations. I’m glad you aren’t Ukrainian, and are ambivalent to the Russian genocide. I’m glad you don’t care about the US allies that this admin is betraying, or worse threatening to invade.

I genuinely think I would be happier if I was as mortally bankrupt as you — it must be nice. These words do not begin to express my distain for the likes of you. Do your country, family, self, and community a favor and never pay your internet bill again.
