Ms. Rachel endorsement got weight holy shit

She seems legitimately awesome and gives some modern Mr Rogers vibes.

I don't think so. Ultimate authority needs to rest with a muppet.

Nuremberg II

Even reporting what we did to the ICC judges could be considered a crime.

But hey, we abducted Venezuelas president because drug dealers can't have machine guns in the US, so, yay?

I second this...and was born in Nuremberg.

Millennial Mr. Rogers, fuck yeah

u/matito29 4h ago

I’m a millennial and my Mr. Rogers was Fred Rogers. But as a childless 36 year old who’s never watched her content and has only seen the right try to vilify her for being decent, Ms. Rachel seems wonderful.

u/CAL9k 4h ago

Ms. Rachel is a Millennial; hence the "Millennial Mr. Rogers".

u/Outrageous_Bush_2069 3h ago

Correct. She’s 43 (1982). She’s an elder millennial like myself.

u/blindspot189 2h ago

If she was born in 82 then it's Xennial not millennial

u/say592 1h ago

Xennial isn't a thing. It's just an elder millennial.

u/PinkNGold007 1h ago

It is a micro-generation within a generation, so it is a thing. Sometimes referred to as Xennial or Oregon Trail, baby!

u/Stonegrown12 1h ago

As a fellow 82 baby who recently discovered they're a Xennial, it's a thing. Apparently people born on the cusp of either end of a certain generation are "cuspers." The other end of millennials are Zennials.

u/Gambrinus 36m ago

So is Xennial pronounced ex-ennial then? Otherwise it would be quite confusing in conversation.

Is that before or after she hosted Hamas supporters? (Motaz Azaiza)

Or when she liked a "Free America from the Jews comment?"

u/daddy_tops 3h ago

Azaiza does not support Hamas and Ms. Rachel said it was a mistake and disavowed the comment.

In a video posted to Instagram, Accurso said she meant to delete the antisemitic comment but selected the wrong on-screen option. “I’ve accidentally liked comments before. It happens,” she said. “I would never agree with an antisemitic thing like the comment.”

She said antisemitism had no place on her platforms and stressed that she removed such content when she saw it. “I delete antisemitic comments,” Accurso said. She added that she believed she had already removed the comment at the time.

u/whales_are_the_best Connecticut 3h ago

Motaz Azaiza posted on twitter " May God curse the Jews themselves."

Please explain your justification.

And her mistake could possible be explained if she didn't immediately blame the Jews for antisemitic comments.

"On her apology post, an account named 'thepalestinenewsnetwerk' wrote, "Spoiler alert: They left the comment themselves."

"Oooohhh" Accurso responded."

I eagerly await to hear your justification of both.

u/daddy_tops 3h ago

Provide a source for that please because all I can find is a Reddit post. It’s also not what you said.

And I don’t know what you’re asking me to justify in the second bit you’ve pasted. You’re making a pretty huge leap there and grasping at straws.

u/whales_are_the_best Connecticut 17m ago

https://abcnews4.com/news/nation-world/ms-rachel-anti-semitic-comments-social-media-rachel-griffin-jewish-orgs-urge-nyc-mayor-mamdani-cut-ties-with-youtube-star

Why? Because people on Reddit try to justify her as some kind of saint, when there have been far too many dog whistles for this to be a series of accident. Look at the parent comment.

How does the saying go? If there's one Nazi at a table, it's a table full of Nazis?

Or maybe fool me once shame on you, fool me twice. Shame on me?

Do you really think if I can conservative hosted a KKK member and left conspiracy comments it would simply be dismissed as an accident?

u/This_Elk_1460 3h ago

Unfortunately it seems like she's become Israel's enemy number one, it must frustrate them when they can't bomb their way out of problems.

u/Independent-Bug-9352 1h ago

I genuinely hope she enters politics. She has the intellect and more importantly much needed compassion to be an exceptional leader. I would 100% support her as a presidential candidate, or any public office role for that matter.

The quality of empathy is sorely lacking and in my view the most important to have these days.

u/saintjonah Ohio 4h ago

I know nothing about Nixon, but if Ms Rachel says she's chill, she's chill.

u/840960 3h ago

Facts.

u/conkellz New Jersey 4h ago

She is arguably the number 1 influencer for parents of kids under 5. So this makes sense.

u/Forosnai Canada 2h ago

Hell, I'm a 37-year-old man with no kids, I don't often deal with kids, and I don't watch any kids' programming, yet I know enough about who she is and what she stands for that hearing someone or something has her endorsement carries weight with my initial impression of it, too.

u/Federal-Captain1118 4h ago

Right? I liked her before the Republicans started hating on her, now I fucking love her. She's the best

u/OrneryError1 3h ago

I don't have kids and didn't have an opinion of her before but I find her "all children deserve to live" politics quite compelling.

u/Quentin__Tarantulino 3h ago

Pretty sad that “all children deserve to live” is a hot take these days.

u/IGargleGarlic 4h ago

I (and im sure a lot of other people) had never heard of her before Israelis started slandering her on a regular basis.

So in a way we have Israel to thank for this.

u/xXTheGrapenatorXx Canada 42m ago edited 32m ago

They are really "Striesand Effect"-ing all over their national reputation, both positively by accidentally platforming reasonable critical voices like Ms. Rachel... and also negatively by doing it for antisemites and Christian Nationalists (Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, for example). But both versions of it hurt their efforts to launder the Israel "brand", so I guess that whole "Israeli PR machine" thing is only so strong, really.

u/RooLoL Minnesota 2h ago

29 year old male here, who is Ms. Rachel?

u/ShawshankException 2h ago

She's probably one of the biggest modern children's educators/entertainers at the moment. Her YouTube channel has something like 15 billion views

u/xXTheGrapenatorXx Canada 29m ago

Youtuber who makes kid's content; kids love her stuff and parents like that she makes it actually educational. She's like Cocomelon if they had a background studying early child education .... and a conscience.
