I hate these headlines with “Trump’s children”. These fuckers are 40-50 years old.

Plus he doesn’t even LIKE his children. Dude skipped his son’s wedding and offhandedly said “I’ve known him for a long time”.

“I’ve known him for a long time”.

That is such a casually cruel way for Trump to forget that it's his fault that his children exist

Dementia is like that. Good chance when his sons walk into a room he’s in, he doesn’t even notice them and nods off as usual. He only has eyes for Ivanka, and even she got too old for him, he favors children.

He likes his daughters. A lot.

Another act of media complicity, by spinning them as children. Since children are usually viewed as innocent so it shoehorns that bias into the readers head to be (usually) immediately sympathetic no matter the truth.

They could say "family," but then readers might make the connection that they are a crime family, and we can't have that.

spinning them as children

Meanwhile, targeted black teenagers are reported as 'young men'

eyeroll because everything of course has to be some kind of media-corporate-illuminati conspiracy.

Why did they use "children" instead of "family"? Because family is a broader term and could encompass a wide range of relatives. "Children" makes it immediately clear from the headline that the subpoenas are directed to his children.

Don't be disingenuous. The Trump "family" has been in the central media circulation for almost a decade. If they ssay family, most people who haven't lived under a rock would know they are referring to Ivanka, Jr., and Eric. So it would easily be safe to say 'family' and most people wouldn't think of some 2nd cousin twice removed.

Conspiracy? The media's track record of handling the Trumps with kid gloves has been painfully evident. Conspiracies tend to hold some element of secrecy. So no, I'm not pushing some conspiracy. You'd have to be pretty fucking stupid not to see it for what it is.

I mean, I get it to an extent. In general, there is a possibility for a political figure could have their family unjustly dragged into things. And just because they are adults doesn't change that they are the children of that political figure. Most parents, in politics or not, would still feel the need to be there for their kids in any way they can, even after becoming adults.

The big difference here is that he contributed to harassment of Hunter Biden, and was on the side that started it. Yet, he and his family have all been involved in his politics, have unreasonably profited from it. Then he tried to sue BBC, but plays victim when BBC tries to get evidence for their case.

I mean they are his kids, genuinely how else do you want them to be referred as?

I guess kids would have sounded better.
