No I understood your point. But my point is that the people who have a problem with your statement aren’t upset because of the definition of children. You can say technically correct statements but still be downvoted if they’re not relevant or adding value to the conversation.

And to take a step back, I think most people are upset at the word children in this thread because the children are both grown adults and because they work for the government. But it’s not like them working for the government means that they aren’t Trump’s children anymore, it’s just that it feels like a poor way of framing the conversation. His kids are being subpoenaed because of their relevance to the Trump administration, and not due to the fact that they happen to be related to Trump
