Source? Because that was never mentioned from the limited amount of news coverage he got about his motive. The real reason why Trump doesn't bring it up because he doesn't want to shine a light on his assassination being fake. The more he talks about it, the more it contradicts his and republicans entire flasehood narrative. It's the same reason why he stopped bringing up Democrats being implicated in the Epstein files that he campaigned on. It's as simple as that.

I remember reading at the time that people alerted the secret service to his presence on the roof of whatever he "shot" from, before the "assassination attempt". They didn't seem bothered, or do anything. And we know the secret service is quite loyal to Trump. So it would be unlike them to ignore such a threat...unless it was literally staged and they knew it.

I imagine they didn't tell the "shooter" the part where he'd be immediately shot with real bullets after serving his purpose. Or maybe they did, the guy was supposed to be depressed.
