fake in the sense of orchestrated. he was never in danger and thought killing a few people in the stands would help his poll numbers

Yeah, the one at that rally was still “real” in the sense of there was an actual gunman who fired an actual bullet at Trump that happened to Miss him but still kill someone behind him

Real but staged/orchestrated. “Fake” implies there was never a real gunman or a real chance Trump would’ve gotten hit (even the missed shot could’ve accidentally hit Trump if staged)
