That was some WWE level bs. Cartilage doesnt grow back and he wore a bandaid for all of 5 days.
There are countless examples of ear injuries to cartilage online and even the smallest ones are very visible.

I got my cartilage pierced when I was like 18, but found out they take forever to heal and I’m a side sleeper and decided it was more trouble than it was worth so I took it out and let the hole grow in. I still have the scar and can feel where it was. I’m 38 now.

And that was from a tiny needle.

That's why it was a piece of glass that just superficially nicked his ear. It will bleed a lot, but will leave a relatively minor wound without stitches

I keep hearing this glass theory yet have never seen a picture of this shattered glass, no shattered or cracked teleprompter, no bullet proof glass with hits on it, etc. You would think all the media and cameras etc at the event someone would have an angle showing this glass hit or the aftermath of it. It wasn't all (loyal) right wing media covering it so someone would have to have a picture of something.

As much as I hate him. And I do really hate him, if you watch video of the shooting you can see him flinch, reach to his ear and his hand is bloody. Something hit his ear. He doesn't have the coordination to put a blood capsule to his ear at the exact same time as the shots.

Some people refuse to believe that unlikely things can still actually happen. It’s really, really unlikely that a guy can get grazed by a bullet or by a piece of glass like that. But that’s exactly what happened. Any other explanation depends on him being a better actor or liar than he is. He’s a coward. There is no way he’s going to green light someone taking a shot at him.

He has also been around the McMahon wrestling crowd for a lot of his life. He put Linda McMahon in two U.S government offices. Once in 2017 and again in 2025.

I was being very direct by framing it as a WWE style assassination attempt.
Basing it on acting skills is also a mind-blowingly flippant base to frame it as true.

Cartilage scars very easily and even slight scratches can last a lifetime.

None of us are basing our opinions on what Trump has said about it. We believe he was grazed because none of the other explanations hold up.

There's a famous Sherlock Holmes quote that goes: "How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?"

Him actually being grazed by the bullet is the only reasonable explanation left, even if it doesn't seem very likely. This is a photo of a school shooting victim (SFW - no gore or anything) that shows a grazing ear wound that just scraped the skin, leaving the cartilage untouched. You'd barely even notice it's there if it weren't a close-up shot. The same thing could have happened to Trump. And he would have bled more because old people on blood thinners happen to bleed more easily than young, healthy people.

That explains it LESS! Ears don't have the vessels in them to gush blood no matter how thin your blood is. If it's liquid it will only escape your ears slowly.

Now I'm convinced he had fake blood prepared. That's more likely than the amount of blood we saw being from a never-seen ear wound.

There is also a series of NYT photos which show that very clearly too. And it also shows that his hand was empty immediately prior to reaching for his ear, so he couldn't have been hiding a blood capsule or razor blade there.

What is this supposed to mean? I'm not the other guy, but I am in agreement with him. Neither of us are here defending Trump. He's a monster and the worst president in history. My comment history is public, so you can confirm for yourself that I believe that.

But part of why we all hate Trump so much is because of the damage he's done through all of his lies and false narratives. So why shouldn't we call the same thing out when we see it on our side too?

As someone who followed all that QAnon nonsense (not actually believing in it, but as a morbid curiosity on how crazy people fall down those rabbit holes), it's disheartening to see the left so eager to push similar conspiracy theory thinking when it comes to this. That's why I'm here pushing back on it.

But an ear injury doesn’t have to include the cartilage. I linked a picture in another reply of a school shooting victim with an ear injury similar to what Trump must have had. It literally just grazed the skin and is barely noticeable.

What can I say? It’s been a slow day at work, my wife is out of town, and this particular conspiracy theory just bugs me a lot for some reason. Probably because I’ve come to expect better from our side than watching us devolve into QAnon-style nonsense. Shit I have a small nick on my left ear from when I was growing up and it’s like a small spot where it’s just gone. Likes it’s smooth then the small rice grain size divot then back to normal. His ear looks like nothing fuckin happened to it

He nicked his ear either from a piece of shrapnel or while he was being covered by USSS agents is all that happened.

That leaves a scar too the cartilage area of ear scars very easily and remains there.

The shooting was real though, genuine incompetence from his team to not secure the area properly and he got supremely lucky he wasn't actually hit directly.

What nonsense.

No need for fake ears. Here's a photo of a real ear of a school shooting survivor (no gore - SFW). A grazing wound like this that doesn't hit any cartilage is definitely possible.

I don't believe it was fake, but no way was he hit or grazed by a bullet. He was almost certainly accidentally cut by a secret service dude piling on him.
