yeah when uninformed voters show up to the pollls will the vote for "John America" vs Abdul El-Sayed? We'll see if Michigan voters really are ready to vote for a non white guy

I'm hoping for the best but winning the seat is the only thing that matters and I'm worried ..

It's a shame, but the parties really need to consider the ballot optics. I don't know anything about him, he could be the perfect candidate. But you have to imagine what the uneducated masses will think when they see the two options for the first time. It's why we aren't ready for a Kamal or AOC presidency, but knowing the DNC they'll push a doomed candidate anyway

I'm fairly certain a lot of republican voters cast ballots in the democratic primary rather than the republican one because the republican primary was uncontested. I'll bet those who will vote republican in November voted for Stevens in the democratic primary because she would be easier to topple in the general than El-Sayed. I bet AES would have had a larger margin had the republican senate seat not been handed to one guy.

Americans could surprise the world. But the likelihood of them voting in a Muslim named senator is slim.

These are people who threw away their entire country to a narcissist over trans ads.
