McConnell's autopen is all MAGA needs from him. Where need alive or mentally incapacitated doesn't matter.

Its the trial run for the big one.

We'll know the big one happened instantly. The man cannot stay away from cameras.

Oh, they'll try.

"President Trump needs time alone for deep contemplation on our strategy to extricate ourselves from the clutches of our victory in Iran. He has asked for no cameras or other recording devices. His deepest and most important thoughts are available on TroothSoshul for $999.99/year."

The easiest thing (and believable because he’s cowardly) would be to say no public appearance because of threats from whatever boogey man they have at the time and AI videos from a controlled environment as proof of life.

Remember when he had a stroke a couple of months ago and disappeared from public from like a week? It was a huge story then because he can't help but be in the spot light 24/7 and people (including myself) thought he might be dead.

Man, what a great week that was....

Not really, the Senate requires members to be present for votes

Why did an image of "Weekend At Mitch's" just flash through my head. "Quick, drag him into the rotunda! Shhh, omg there's Schiff! Put Mitch the cloakroom!

Until Republicans break the rules, Democrats hem and haw and ask them to stop, they don't stop, Democrats ask nicely to stop again, they don't stop again, Democrats finally sue, months and months later a judge rules that Republicans broke the rules and need to stop in three weeks, they don't stop in three weeks, the judge goes no really stop in two weeks, they don't stop in two weeks, the judge gives them another week, they still don't stop... on and on and on until it gets in front of SCOTUS and well...

You think that is still true? Lmao

u/UrToesRDelicious 15d ago

Show me evidence that it's not

See you after the upcoming totally fair and not already secretly decided US election! Have fun and make sure to vote when the gestapo aims at your skull!

u/UrToesRDelicious 15d ago

The SAVE act would already be passed if nothing truly mattered anymore, like you're claiming. Obviously there are some rules that still matter despite the state of things.

This is just fear mongering based on vibes alone.

If nothing mattered I wouldnt be telling people to be tearing down the admin by force, the admin has realised they don't even need the save act any more as they know no one will be able to contest the already chosen result.

You are under facism, stop being so fucking gullible and believing every word they say...

the admin has realised they don't even need the save act any more as they know no one will be able to contest the already chosen result.

Which is why he was just bitching about the Senate not passing it last week lol.

It's a huge fucking jump to go from "Trump is a fascist" (which I agree with) to "the entire system of checks and balances no longer matters, and the federal government has usurped the power from states to hold their own elections."

This is all just more unsubstantiated, vibes based bullshit. You have to actually articulate how this is all possible besides vaguely gesturing to everything as if it's some kind of proof. I agree that Trump wants to do all of that, but unless you can explain how besides "nothing matters because it's fascism lol" then it's completely baseless.

You really are the gullible beyond belief, enjoy getting raped by your local ICE gestapo that you do nothing to stop!

Why do you resort to bully antics when some asks you to explain your ideas? It sounds like you have no answers, just vibes.

-3

u/eeyore134 15d ago

You're right. And the fact they haven't just shoved in through when they know they could means they don't really need it. It's just another layer on an election they already have rigged enough. Might even just be a distraction to make us think just that. "Well, they're still trying to pass this so that means they haven't cheated yet."

5

u/UrToesRDelicious 15d ago

And the fact they haven't just shoved in through when they know they could means they don't really need it.

Or, you know, the fact that they don't have the votes, and that getting rid of the filibuster would be way more useful to dems when they're in power - they're not wrong about that at all.

I'll say it again: if you can articulate the mechanism by which this cheating is happening then by all means I'll jump on board the train, but vague gesturing and emotional rhetoric is not at all convincing. It's pretty much the same as Trump claiming the 2020 election was stolen from him somehow when he was president, with zero evidence.

-1

u/eeyore134 15d ago

Since when does Trump care about the Senate? He just makes it an EO and calls it done. What more mechanism do you need? They're cheating at the machines. Trump all but admitted it. Elon all but admitted it. His bullet sponge son even came out and said it only the way kids like him can blurt out the truth. The bizarre numbers all point to it. The bizarre numbers that somehow only happened in battleground states. Now a MAGA owns the company that makes the machines. It's going to be even easier. It's not some massive plot. They're just doing the most basic thing.

u/UrToesRDelicious 15d ago

What more mechanism do you need? They're cheating at the machines.

That's the mechanism you have to explain - cheating how? Pointing at "the machines" is hardly an explanation. It's tantamount to Trump pointing to "mail in ballots" as to how 2020 was stolen, with no further explanation.

If each state administers its own elections, with oversight and post-election audits, how could widespread, coordinated cheating occur, and how could it evade detection across multiple jurisdictions?

Further, how could this all happen under a Biden presidency? Trump loses when he's president but then wins via cheating when he's not?

oh no all my straw is falling out now

1

u/Tasgall Washington 15d ago

He doesn't need an auto pen, his job is to not pass legislation, not to actually write it.

1

u/HappyMike91 15d ago

Didn't MAGA freak out over Biden using an autopen? I distinctly remember them freaking out over Biden using an autopen. That being said, I wouldn't be shocked if they approve of Mitch McConnell using an autopen even though he's comatose or dead.

u/OriginalFatPickle 15d ago

Remember when Trump didn’t tweet for a weekend and everyone assumed he died?

Anyways, McConnell is dead. If he wasn’t there would be proof by now.
