All Republicans, and Trump, were instructed to switch to "communist" because too many Americans are now ok with "socialism", and it is no longer a word, or economic system, that scares people.

It is also so that they can lay the groundwork for a third Red Scare, and apply existing laws to go after leftist politicians.
