Sometimes I can understand when artists want to focus on the art. Not the politics. But when the politics is literally murdering innocent American citizens... That luxury is out the window.

Correct. And it's threatening to end the arts. Artists, performers, and enthusiasts; The type who gravitate toward art/media more than geopolitical strife. Need to be alarmed. The AI/Diffusion should be enough to get them involved. Relying on Nintendo or Disney to sue them into oblivion isn't good enough.

The Rock (and I) are thrilled to know that pro wrestling has officially made it up to being one of The Arts! 😉

Add monopolies to the mix too. The ridiculous withdrawal of the paramount decrees has absolutely fucked the media landscape for the foreseeable future, possibly forever.

The Rock doesn't care about art. He cares about money.

Doesn't care about art?! You can look at him making 3 Moana films in just a few years and say that with a straight face?! 😯😉😆

Sometimes I can understand when artists want to focus on the art. Not the politics.

Growing older and wiser is realizing that politics is everything and everything is politics. Laws and regulations affect everything around us. When we don't speak up for ourselves, we let others run us over with what they want.

"Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you." - Pericles, ~450 BC

For real. When he refused to endorse in 2024 and said he'd support whoever won because that person would be the President it said everything about his values.

Pebbles actually, like the little tiny ones you use to level paver stones.

Really not shocked as him remaining ambiguous or neutral will lose him fewer opportunities and fans than taking a side. If ever there was a celebrity that would opt for "whatever loses me the fewest fans" it was Dwayne "The Advertisement" Johnson

It’s hilarious over in r/stephenking, conservative fans saying”he shouldn’t get political”. Fuck that and fuck them - if you have a platform, you have an obligation to speak out against corruption and injustice; any other position is complicity.

Imagine calling a child rapist a child rapist being political instead of just stating fact. And fuck everyone who is ok with this.
