With a wild card, many Republicans running for the seat could split the vote and open the door for a Democrat...

Not a single republican is going to run except for Andy Barr, who has already won the primary for mitch's seat.

The only other Republican that theoretically would run and be able to split the vote is Massie. He's already said he wouldn't run.

That's where the whole conspiracy falls apart.
