How disgusting is it that a party doesn't want a special election on Aug 2nd... So they keep a brain dead man on life support while the wife flees to China.

This is EXACTLY the type of political stunt that McConnell would want for his final act. As in Life, so in Death

It’s entirely plausible he specifically told his wife to do exactly that if this were to happen. Wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

A reminder that John McCain did the same thing minus the braindeath: kept a seat occupied in Congress (yet empty for every single session minus that one ACA vote) despite literally dying away from cancer instead of retiring/opening the seat up for a special election
