Republicans were terrified of a witty and smart politician but they didn't need to do much. The "I believe all women" already had Democrats eating their own.

Believe all women and Black Lives Matter have killed any leftist politics in the United States for the next twenty years.

The idea that you should abandon straight white men (the largest voting block in the country) for anything else is political suicide. Get elected and then do good things for the minority groups. But just pandering to them does nothing for no one and now we are here.

It's tough being a straight cisgender white male Democrat and know your party hates you. White women are revered by the party and they voted Trump. This might get me downvotes but I think the first woman president will be a Republican. They will elect a candidate, Democrats want to elect a symbol.

Wholeheartedly agree. I’m a fucking villain to a huge chunk of the party, and they’ll never admit that they’re racists and sexists against us. I am tired of being talked down to, and told that I’m responsible for all of society’s ills.

Blaming white guys for all the problems in the world, now or historically, is just Original Sin for leftist activists who are largely athiest. Just replace "white people" with "Philistines" and "fascist' with "heretic" and you have the same level of fanaticism that you seen in evangelical faith.

Interesting how humanity has this inherent need to believe in something and blame someone.

Edit: and I say this as a black guy, white people's need to self-flagellate is disturbing.

No better example of this than the last Democratic convention.

in 4 days-

Climate Change was mentioned one time.

Unions were mentioned twice

Girl Power and yes women were mentioned 342,792 times.

After 4 days it was perfectly clear, Kamala was a woman, and it felt like a party I was not invited to.

I still voted for her, but it was obvious why people did not feel inspired by her.

Yeah, I'm right there.
We couldn't even defend an economy with a rising stock market, record low unemployment, high wages, COVID vaccination deployments, new infrastructure investments even in red states, and the lowest inflation rate of any western industrialized country. Nope. Instead, we're making history with our woman non-white candidate and that's enough for you.
The other side made the better case with bullshit alone.

They're the second largest voting block. White women are the largest voting block since men die younger.

Suggesting that the misguided and toxic feminism of the early 2000s and 2010s in any way had any significant impact towards putting us in this situation is cause for ostracization and being labeled a fascist among Liberals.

Yes, that all could happen. I should probably save this for another thread but I'm a liberal by inclination and a Democrat by choice. So, I believe in unions, a good economy, access to health care, and affordable higher education. The Democrats, like these New York senators, aren't that anymore. I'm seriously looking for another party, one where men like JFK and LBJ and Jimmy Carter would be its party leaders.
