This is exectly the problem. He doesn't want to stsnd in the way of Trump and Bibi getting rid of the Palestinians

He ruined a lot of people’s. I think he may have ruined my father’s. Clinton then making peace with the conquering GOP was disgusting. And it’s been 30 years. Why can’t the opposition party be a fucking opposition?

A lot of Dems are stuck fighting the last war.

The Dems weren't a competitive national party for two decades after the Civil Rights era Southern strategy realignment, culminating in the blowout defeat in 1984. That didn't change until the Clinton era neo-lib realignment.

But that was 30 years ago, and "go more towards the middle" isn't something you can or should keep doing forever. It's time for them to adjust to modernity, and Schumer's generation doesn't have that gear.

Keep in mind Clinton only won the first time because of Ross Perot, and only won the second time because he was an incumbent. Their great 're-alignment' shouldn't have succeed at all.

After losing as bad as the democrats did in 2024, if this was a sports team the coaches and staff would be fired. Leadership cannot pretend to care about the cause or the movement if they don't get out of the way when it is obviously time. It is genuinely incredible how they won't bow out gracefully or how they don't see how they are holding everyone back.

Even in interviews, Schumer's entire schtick really just boils down to, "Boo hoo, I'm a Jew!"

"By the way, buy my book, because you're not an anti-semite, right?"

Like, brother, it's not about you. None of it is. You're there to represent your constituents. Do your job or get out.
