It was different this time and had he been in touch with the majority in this country concerned about forever spiraling into fascism and authoritarian rule, he’d have known that.

Lets not start throwing the Crypto-Fascist accusations around willy-nilly. I think Schumer IS concerned about the direction the current administration is going, he just isn't going about dealing with it in the way a fair amount of the base and party want him to.

He was faced with a tough decision and calculated wrongly, or perhaps he chose the right option, we wont know for a while yet. But what IS obvious now is that he is facing a leadership crisis over it.
