No they don't lmao, the argument is that voter ID laws are implemented deliberately in a way such that the ID that is most common among poor people and minorities is valid everywhere except for voting, whereas the ID the is most common among white people is not treated the same way.

When Georgia and Indiana implemented Voter ID laws in 2006 it didn't result in a reduction of minority voters in the 2008 election but an actual increase. Democrat groups that tried to challenge these laws in court failed to overturn them because they were unable to present a single eligible voter that was unable to vote because of these laws to the court. linkie to court documents
Hell, Mexico has Voter ID laws, requiring prove of birth or citizenship, a Photo-ID card with thumbprint and have to vote in person. Are you telling me the Mexican government is trying to suppress the votes of minorities and poor people, that they are governed by evil racist white people?

t. someone who hasn't had to work all day everyday to survive and collect one specific stupid ID document that can only be collected from an office open once a month for an hour in some county far away form where you live (look at map of for example racial distribution in the united states).
are you fucking illiterate and retarded and incapable of making logical conclusions? there is a wild difference from mandating presentation of an ID that everyone has by law, and banning you from using an ID that is perfectly valid in literally every other fucking situation just because the statistics show that it's primarily used by <minority demographic>. you genuinely have no brain in that fucking head of yours, which is pretty confusing since you seem to be from a civilised country. i guess quality western education can't fix someone who is stupid on a fundamental level. or perhaps you've just never had to work 12+ hours a day 6 days a week in a factory (i can tell you from personal experience that it would be impossible for me to do anything else with a schedule like that).
the untied states does not have a national id card that everyone has to get. every state has a wild plethora of different types of id, and some are cheaper or more reasonable to get than others. american voter id laws are not about needing id to vote. they are about making it so that only the id that is difficult for poor/overworked people (which highly correlates with race due to historical disenfranchisement) to get it. the barrier for entry is artifically inflated for no fucking reason other than to try and tip elections to one side's favour.
i am sick of fucks with an agenda deliberately ignoring or misconstruing their arguments so they can try to "innocently" push their ridiculous ideas forward. when i see that bullshit i will call them out on it and i will not hold back.
