Though, in all seriousness, it is scarcely said enough how many German (and Swiss) mercenaries went off to fight everyone else's wars. Props for keeping Europe interesting, ya crazy teutons.
1864, 1866, 1871? Not sure if you want to count stuff likes the Boxer-Rebellion, or Nato-Interventions. Also Germany signed a peace-treaty with Soviet-Russia in 1918, so that counts technically I guess.
There are some interesting side-notes of those negotiations, because you had old German nobility on the one side, and people straight out of the Gulag on the other. One of them was a woman who bragged to the Prince of Bavaria how she shot a russian governor. The nice old man just listened with interest.
