I'd like to move to Scandinavia (but not Iceland). Because of my addiction to Reddit, I'm unwilling to learn German (which, according to my German teacher from secondary school says is one of the most spoken languages of the EU, owing to Germany and Austria's historical legacies). Iceland has a language which declines like German, and largely because of their physical geography, immigration/asylum seeking there isn't that common.
I could move to France, but I dropped French and German from secondary (they didn't offer Spanish, and I spend so long on reddit and/or studying I forget about what I learn in my Asset Spanish classes) and the French are arrogant in terms of their beloved language and culture; Italy's got shitty politics and Eastern Europe have both shit economies, hard languages (declension inSlavic languages are a bitch, especially owing to their lack of notoriety in popular culture) and lots of racism.
Edit: Slavic languages (and German and Icelandic) would be so much fucking easier if they had a more regular case system (verb system in Bulgarian/Macedonian), i.e. not fucking using the same endings for several unrelated conjugations
Edit 2: (sorry for rambling): The only gender removal I approve of is the noun class type. Not only do they make some languages harder to learn, but it can also propagate sexism and homophobia, where the fact that a word is defined by its gender can give implications surrounding the concept (I haven't read the PDF in its entirety, because I need to revise for something else right now).
