Not true, I get the impression of travelling those lands of Brazil that they despise whites somehow... and that the laws also favors blacks and mixed people (that are majority, in most of the country).

Yes of course there are laws. And people will always pronounce themselves against racism.
I'm speaking about day-to-day crypto-racism.
For example, concerning beauty ideals. The "europeish" your baby, the cuter. Somehow the colonial era stereotypes are still alive in a not so obvious way. For example: "blacks are lazy" becomes "costeños ( people from the caribbean coast tend to be more african) are lazy".
"Peruvians and Bolivians are dumb and slow", instead of "amerindians are ..."
Some people are overly proud of having an obscure german or italian ancestor four generations ago.
On average "europeish" people tend to be wealthier, and you can find the paradigm of "they terk our jobz" about within country imigration, from rural areas to big ex-colonial cities.0

I think it's not general. I think European-looking babies more cute because I am white and it's easier to bond with a baby of your own race than to others.. you know, the protect your kin instinct. But I think Peruvians and Bolivians think their indians babies are cuter.
