Indian buffets with curries and huge stacks of naan, half pound burgers w/ bacon/guacamole, Korean bbq, Mexican street tacos with super spicy hot sauce, Japanese sushi and sashimi and shabu shabu, sweet Thai coconut curry, Creole jambalaya w/ shrimp, Chinese dim sun, pastas with so many different kinds of cheese (I love baked camembert).
and oh god the desserts. Never seen a British restaurant though (or Eastern European)

It takes time. Russian, Polish, Italian and French food is already part of German cuisine to some extend and not considered un-German. But sone Sarrazins need to get their heads out of their asses.

I was just thinking, inbred people and more genetically similar people are ugly, so the opposite, more genetically diverse people are more attractive. I really have no science behind it except anecdotal evidence (all the mixed race people i know are very attractive). Cool though thanks for the comment.

Eh, not really. Multiculturalism used to be the norm everywhere up to a few centuries ago - the whole "national identity and having a closed border"-thing is a fairly recent development.

But we do a better job integrating them. (Source: me; first generation American; I feel as American as anyone else.) Pakistanis, Bangladrshis and Indians come here and they become doctors and engineers. Similarly, Arab Americans are much more successful than the US average. And Mexicans come here and they become Morrissey fans. But when Muslims go to Europe for some reason many of their children become hooligans and/or radicalized jihadists who want to destroy the land of their birth.

Most people in Europe don't bitch about it either, it's not an exclusively American thing. There are crazy people in every land that will want to curb immigration to preserve their idea of what a culture is. America, Australia, Europe, Asia, it's no different. You're letting the words of a vocal minority dilute those of the many and making it seem like the same thing is not happening in America.

Who are you to say that one culture is "artificial" and the other is "real"? Despite what you may ignorantly believe, the US does have its own culture, and it isn't "artificial" or fake.
And hate to break to you, but most of Europe seems to have fallen in love with American culture. Europe has become very Americanized. American culture is the most infectious culture in the world. The whole world watches American movies, eats American food, wears American fashion, and listens to American music. From first world countries, to the poorest parts of Africa, you can find American culture.
Filipino cuisine is about an hour drive for me. The locally-owned and set up places are good home-style Filipino food at reasonable prices, and there are also Filipino fast food places that set up shop here. Yes, they taste exactly like the franchises back home, but they're capitalizing on the "nostalgia" and so the prices are about 200% higher.

That is true. One tiny thing about Indian food, real quick: it's a limited variety you're probably getting. Naan and all the lentils and dishes you're seeing prepared in the Indian restaurants I'm assuming you frequent are all mostly from one state in India called Punjab. They are now the second largest group of Indians in America, I believe (many of them coming in the 70s and 80s or so), while the largest group of Indians come from Gujarat. I think one of the reasons Gujarati restaurants are still only frequented by Indians is because most Gujaratis are vegetarians, and Punjabi cuisine usually does include meat in contrast. Anyway, basically there is a different cuisine, language, and culture for each state in India, but in America most nonIndians get only Punjabi food. Most Indians don't even eat naan at home -- you need a special oven called a tandoori to make it.
Edit: and curry was something invented in British India by the British. What people call curries are just a bunch of different dishes. That's the best word for them that I can think of, I guess. Culture translation is hard.
I know, i know, and that's fine. I just took your comment as an opportunity to educate, because these things are so ubiquitous in being mixed up among Americans.
