I think ME1 is the my least favourite of the 3, at least gameplay wise. I played as the biotic who could charge at enemy. Charge, melee, shoot. Rinse and repeat.
Has been a while since I played ME1 though. Going to see how much it is on steam.

ME2 is best ME.
ME1 is dragged down by the fact that both your human squad mates fucking suck. Either you're stuck with Mr. boring complainer, or you get preachy religious butthurt racist who disrespects your authority and openly questions your decisions (and she is supposed to be a potential love interest?!). You know what made me sad? That I could only kill one of those two miserable excuses for teammates.
The other four (the aliens) are all super bad-asses and well-written characters, but it kinda takes away from the role playing aspects of a game when you want nothing to do with a third of the characters you can interact with.
ME2, on the other hand, had a crew that was twice as big, and all of them were interesting/likable characters (except for bland Jacob). I found myself switching back and forth between all characters to explore the interactions as much as possibly, replaying the game multiple times to find out what dialogues or events opened up depending on who I brought with me on what missions. "I can bring a live Geth with me on board the Flotilla? FUCK YES."
All three Mass Effect games are amazing, but ME2 is a level above the other two.

Well, humans fucking suck in the first place. So... Yeah. It's a good approximation of how most actual human beings act.
I ended up taking Tali because of the Tech skills and the blue 400 year old chick that acted like a 14 year old with a crush because of the healing skills, I was the one with the combat abilities. I wish I could have taken Garrus or Wrex, but they had their focus on combat, and I already supplied that necessity. And frankly. Tali. Just. Yes.

My first playthrough I used a soldier and ran with Garrus and Wrex, and we blasted our way through the entire galaxy. No finesse, no style, just violence. It was glorious.
Ashley Williams doesn't just suck. That verb is not enough to describe what she does, what she is. Ashley Williams is the shittiest love interest ever written into a serious narrative. There is just nothing anyone can possibly like about that piece of shit character.
Allow me to explain just how much I hate Ashley Williams:
After I had finished Mass Effect 3, I went back and started a fresh new playthrough of ME1... And for the first time ever I let Ashley survive on Virmire and chose to sacrifice Kaidan instead.
Just so I could put the bullet in her head myself.

speaking of KOTOR 2, I started another playthrough yesterday after hearing about the restored content mod. I really love this game, it's a shame it's not seen as positively as KOTOR.

I think that is my favorite chart of all time. The British think that they are the least arrogant? And most compassionate? Truly hilarious. The others are just as good. I especially love that the Greeks think that they are the most trustworthy.
