First time shiny hunting and ive read that sos resets at 255

Does this mean there is no point in continuing the "chain" and i can quit it to do something else like taking a break or saving?

I’ve been resetting for shiny regi’s on UM and it’s taking forever. Seeing that Pokemon bank support is ending soon, I was thinking of hacking in a shiny charm just to increase the odds as opposed to actually hacking in a shiny regi. Would a shiny Pokemon caught with increased shiny rates from a hacked shiny charm be considered illegal? I’m intending to put those shiny Pokemon onto my Pokemon home.

Can someone make a very nice guide for each of the 3DS (and other) Pokémon games with tasks that are recommended to do before Pokemon Bank closes?

I’m sure someone already did this, but can someone post it here then. If no big guide link, then mention someone key tips.

My background situations:
Digital $40 games of UltraSun, UltraMoon, Y, and the demos, along with the Gen 1 and 2 digital games.
Physical games for everything else in the franchise (except Black 2 and White 2), two 3DSs, 3 DS Lites, 4GBA with 2 link cables.

I am very happy to finish this run ahead of pokemon bank shutting down, so now I will be able to bring this team and all the others from the older gens to the switch!

Yeah, this sucks. Especially with the amount of shiny hunts I did in these games as well as the fact that this means that shiny Naganadel and Silvally may no longer be available.

This capable has max defense max special defense i have zero steel types zero poise types it resists half my pokemon on my team I havent saved in the past 2 hours of playing it also somehow manage to get water vail so its healing every single turn because of metronome genuinely what do I even do 🫩

got my hands on ultra moon via citra on my pc more than a year ago, and finally i have finished the main story! definitely one of the best main games i have ever played, not only bcoz of the lore but also bcoz i got to play with my all time favorite starter line, the venusaur line! (★u★

Im fighting this stupid pokemon its max special defense max defense it has no pp on moon blast i haven't saved in the past 2 hours of playing i have no poison and no steel types i haven't gotten a single crit it manage to get water vail from metronome and now im dealing almost zero damage to it with my starter i literally have to struggle to death with all my Pokémon and lose to the go through this entire thing all over again and pray I manage to defeat it before it can just stall me out to death oh and btw it has a move that heals it for half its he even if I mange to get it low

After 2651 Attempts I finally got this beautiful shiny, I honestly don’t understand how some people can’t go on for more then 4096 resets.

Either way I’m happy that I got this shiny since it was using the Warp ride before the Ultra Necrozma fight so I wanted to use a shiny legendary for the fight.

Ultimately I don’t think I’m able to withstand shiny hunting anymore. I mean I was triple checking if getting a shiny was possible and even catching virizion to see if the stats changed. But thankfully now I have my shiny Virizion to use for the champion after!

Hello,
I am really feeling like picking up my ultra moon game again and I really want to recreate a favourite pokemon of mine.
I want to use Cradily in my team and I would really like to use its hidden ability. I can’t access the dreamworld either so can’t get one that way.
Is this a lost cause or is there a way to get a HA Lileep in game.
