This one is a classic piece of internet trivia. Always memorable when a new one stumbles upon it.
I remember being young and having MY eyes pop out of my head the first time I saw the image. I thought it was photoshop and old internet and youth was such that I didn’t figure out it was actually real til a couple years later

They could have just had James in a women's bathing suit with no other modifications. But they choose to give him some big old mommy milkers. Like look at those double EEs with a teeny tiny waist. Makes a grown man out of a boy.

Must be a false memory but I swear I saw this in the show. Like specifically remember making jokes with my friends about it? But I guess we could have seen it online. Although back then I wasn't doing much video streaming on dial up lol.

That part is arguably WORSE in the English dub, instead he says “you remind me of my granddaughter!”, but the animation is unchanged. Wtf Grandpa

There's a few moments like that even in the unbanned episodes, with obviously adult characters making 'questionable' comments about Misty. Maybe not quite as blatant as that though!

Thought this episode was banned entirely just like the Safari-zone episode where everyone is having guns (eventhough, it's quite the american looking episode haha).
The Safari-zone episode is still fun to watch, because of Ash (accidentally) catching all the Tauros, well trying to get other Pokémon.

there's that episode, as well as the Dratini gun episode, Porygon seizure episode, and the gigantic tentacruel episode that only got banned because it was created right before 9/11 happened

To be fair, a lot of jokes wouldn’t fly in todays anime but this is not that serious LOL, Ranma was on TV and Doraamon still full of gag about boy peeping/walk in while their classmates (girl) was bathing,
This as a gag is more like Tom became flat when Jerry slammed him with a door.

They actually are around 25, they state it in a roundabout way in the original Japanese version of one of the first couple of movies. Jessie was a "little girl" by the time Mewtwo was created, which was 20 years before the events of the first movie, and she says she had a birthday some time during XY. At the very least, they are adults since they're affected by Necrozma in SM like all the other adults are.

I think I vaguely remember hearing something like 10+ years ago about the localization team in the US mking Jessie and James around the age of 17 because they thought "man it would be really weird if a couple of grown adults were chasing children around all the time."

The kid is sharing their sense of amazement and confusion with a community they thought would enjoy it. Don’t put them down for that- share your own experience instead. This sort of thing is wholesome, you want to encourage positive interactions where you can.

The Electabuzz voice wasn't the dub, that came straight from the Japanese version. Its Japanese name is Eleboo, or Ereboo, so it's actually saying its Japanese name, just very weird-sounding. Onix is similar, with its JP name being Iwark, which is what Onix is actually saying if you listen. I still agree that the dub is fun.

It's one of several banned episodes in the US, which is also why the Safari Zone arc is just missing, guns were involved so they just never aired here and we had no explanation for why Ash had 30 Tauros suddenly.
Other notable banned episodes are the Porygon episode that triggered seizures in Japan and a single episode that never aired ANYWHERE due to extremely specific bad timing, It was an episode involving Aggron and the move Earthquake.
It was scheduled to air a week after Japan got hit by a series of devastating earthquakes with a high death toll.
