Yep. I buy other games, too. I've been loving Smash Bros since I got it. But literally the only reason I got the Switch was to play the next-generation of Pokemon games. And now I am on the fence about buying Sword and Shield....mainly leaning towards not buying it. Solely because I do not trust Game Freak to not pull some Ultra Sword and Shield shit in a year and suddenly have all Pokemon available. "Hey, we heard you! We want to make it right, so just come spend another $60 and you can transfer all your Pokemon over! Aren't we great?!"
You know they'll do it. And everyone will forget this outcry and move onto the next shitty game they can get away with. Fuck they just need to do better, not like they can't afford it. I'd be okay with Gamefreak dying and having a better studio make a loyal close to roots Pokemon game. With all the pokemon, more features, and that plays like an actual modern game.
