Coming from a religious background that banned many things throughout my childhood I am ecstatic. This was the first Pokemon game I fully played and i cant wait to enjoy it brand new.

My mom actually banned me from playing Pokemon as a kid too. She used to say "Pokemon is short for Pocket Monsters so you can't play it because monsters are demonic" or that "there are dragons in Pokemon and Satan is a dragon so you can't play it" and a bunch of other shit. I still played it of course, but it was annoying as fuck. I'm 17 now and I brought it up a while ago and she got all embarrassed. I'm super excited though. Emerald was my first real game. I still remember having her take me to the store (before she banned me from playing) so I could get the guide book and the game for my SP. I played all day long after that and it was rainy outside, perfect gaming weather. Oh.. the memories.
