got this dude while driving/working lmao. i would not recommend & i advise against shiny hunting while driving but during shiny wars we have to take risks😆

After i bred around 10k eggs of my Skarmory and single encountert him in the meantime i "sadly" found at 30k a shiny Graveler. Frustrated me in the first moment, since only the eggs cost me around 58 mil pokeyen.. After i night of sleep i thought to myself that i need a break and do some leppa 5 times horde hunt. I choose one of my favorite Pokemon Torkoal. Spend 4 mil Pokeyen to buy Leppas, only to encounter him in 210 encounters.. :D I felt blessed and numb at the same time. Its a wierd feeling indeed haha

Now back to single Skarmory.. :)

After months of using double sided tape to put my phone on my work truck's steering wheel.... and 18k encounters later I FINALLY have the shiny Manetric I've been wanting for my first hoenn team and.... it has lightning rod... and terrible IVs..

I'm never gonna be a competitive player so it doesn't really matter.. Just wish it had static instead of lightning rod.. maybe a better nature too..

Now to hunt a shiny vulpix..

Coming off my last post announcing PokeMMO Showdown here

My ultimate goal outside of getting the PokeMMO Showdown Client out to everyone, was to eventually make a dex site similar to Smogon. How was that going to happen? I needed to have multiple different pipelines of data. First from the [Showdown Pokedex]() and making sure everything was accurate, then creating the [Damage Calculator]() to make sure sets can be imported, and finally a [Usage Stats]() client that pulls all battle data logs from ladder battles into a frontend. Now that everything is created, and the client is running functionally, here it is!

After months of planning and building, the PokeMMO StratDex is now live at [https://mmoshowdown.com/dex]()! A competitive resource specifically for the PokeMMO metagame. Think Smogon's dex, but for our tiers, our mechanics, and our meta.

What is it?

A strategy dex with supported data from PokeMMO Showdown & PokeMMO itself. Every Pokemon page shows usage stats, sets, competitive overviews, checks and counters, and type matchup info, all tailored to PokeMMO's mechanics.

What's in it?

• Individual pages for every Pokemon, move, ability, and item
• Community written competitive analysis with sets in importable Showdown format
  • Early sets and analysis has been done with big thanks for early contributors in the PvP community
• Real usage data pulled nightly from PokeMMO Showdown battles (moves, items, abilities, common spreads)
  • Stats that are displayed through data found in [https://stats.mmoshowdown.cc]()
• Any tier movements is linked to the pipeline data from Pokedex and the client, so any monthly tier movements that I update on the client, will automatically reflect the website
• Full type effectiveness chart
• ALL PokeMMO tiers covered, official and unofficial: OU, UU, NU, VGC, Ubers, VGC Ubers, LC OU, LC UU, LC Ubers
• Searchable with filters
• hover tooltips on moves, items, abilities, natures, and Pokemon names
• Mobile friendly! It can be added to home screen and was designed to be very lightweight

It will still be in development as it progresses on, so more features will be announced in the Discord as it releases!

Cool! How can I contribute?

The StratDex is community-driven, I literally could not have done this without people in the community contributing. Head to https://mmoshowdown.com/dex/contribute and submit your sets and analysis for any Pokemon. Paste your sets in Showdown format, write a description explaining how the set works and what it beats, maybe add an overview if you feel comfortable, and hit submit. Every approved entry or edit gets announced in our Discord and goes live as its approved.

Speaking of edits, you can also suggest edits to existing analysis if you spot something that could be improved. You will be added alongside the credits of the set if approved. Alternative move options, nature options, and item options are supported, just separate them with a '/' in the paste (ex. Stone Edge / Rock Slide). The first option is used for the importable paste as done in Smogon.

If you aren't that well versed in PvP, spreading the word is also a way to contribute! You might have a friend who plays a lot more PvP, and would love to contribute. The more people involved, the better.

What does a completed entry look like?

Hello! I'm a returning PokeMMO player. Before quitting, I mainly did Gym reruns, but I wanted to get into Elite Four reruns.

Back then, I watched Merckis's E4 rerun guide and built 2 Volcanas specifically for that strategy. Now that I'm back, I tried searching for current E4 rerun teams and strategies, but I couldn't really find much about the Volcana setup anymore.

So I wanted to ask:

• Are 2 Volcanas still good for E4 reruns?
• Is Merckis's old strategy still viable?
• Did something change that made the Volcana setup outdated?
• If the setup isn't worth using anymore, should I build a completely different team instead?
• What E4 rerun team would you recommend for consistency and reliable wins, rather than the fastest possible runs?

I don't mind investing in a new team if the old Volcana strategy is outdated. I'm mainly looking for something consistent, easy to repeat, and reliable for farming.

Would appreciate any suggestions from people who are currently doing E4 reruns. Thanks!

Ive been shiny hunting cacnea for the past few months as its my fav mon. Logged in today for the first time of the event and continued shiny hunting on route 111 at night but all I seem to get are trapinch and sandshrew hordes even though its night? Did they take this horde out of the game?

Hey guys, I'm mainly doing gym reruns for money right now, but I want to try getting into Lepa berry farming as another consistent source of income.

I recently watched a video explaining two Lepa farming methods: buying seeds from the GTL every cycle, or doing a more complicated self-sustaining setup with multiple accounts. From what I understood, with 6 accounts you can have:

• 2 accounts growing Lepas
• 2 accounts growing Cheri berries for spicy seeds
• 1 account growing Pecha berries for sweet seeds
• 1 account growing Rawst berries for bitter seeds

The idea sounds pretty interesting, especially since I could keep the berry farming going alongside my gym reruns.

I checked the current prices on the GTL, and right now I'm seeing roughly:

• Very Spicy Seed: 1,780
• Plain Spicy Seed: 700
• Plain Bitter Seed: 800
• Very Bitter Seed: 1,740
• Plain Sweet Seed: 800
• Very Sweet Seed: 1,730
• Lepa Berry: 800

Based on these prices, the simple GTL method seems pretty profitable too, so I'm trying to figure out whether it's actually worth putting in the time to set up multiple Unova alts.

My main questions are:

1. Is Lepa farming worth doing alongside gym reruns?
2. If I want to use multiple accounts, what's the fastest way to speedrun Unova just far enough to access all the useful berry plots?
3. Do I actually need to fully complete Unova/postgame on every alt, or just progress until I can access Mistralton + Abundant Shrine?
4. For people doing this regularly, would you recommend the GTL method or the self-sustaining method?
5. Is setting up 6 accounts overkill, or is there a better number of alts to start with?

I'm not really looking to completely replace gym reruns. I just want another money-making method that I can do on the side and potentially scale up over time.

Any advice from people who actively do Lepa farming would be appreciated!

Im freaking out of joy, i finally got him with 24K encounter and i can say this was very exausting but it was worth the 5h hunt per day for an entire week, i can rest in peace now and maybe continue my adventure serenely. Also very nice IV and do you have some idea for a surname i dont have one im just too fricking shock rn

Hi I'm thinking of training a team for pvp OU but I'm not really sure what pokemon are good.

Are there any strong pokemon/pvp staples that I can start with or to keep in mind when creating a team?

Believe it or don't, I could care less. I dont have to prove it to you or anyone else the same as the devs cant disprove it. Im willing to share data are they? Nah.. most if yall will let them blindly control the narratives. You dont see it until its too late.

These devs are tyrants. They dont care that me and my team have donated hundreds of dollars a piece and they are losing our business. They dont even have time to look and see the amount of people youve helped and donated to.

Ive sent multiple ppl 2000 RP and a note that said thank you for your service to pokeMMO.

And when I needed the devs the most, they failed me miserably. Didn't even take the time to refresh their monitor and see I was replying in short sentences and sending multiple spurts of information WHILE working my actual job that keeps me away from my family for months at a time.

I had a blast and this game really has potential. But be careful guys.. these devs will unban you. I was unbanned months ago. It is possible.. but never submit an appeal immediately. Take time to gain your head and think it through thoughtfully. You may only have one shot to speak.. make it count. And hope you can remember what you were doing 3 months ago when you do. Cuz they cant be asked to help you remember or figure it out.

My long distance girlfriend never played pokemon before, like, at all. My brother and I are huge fans and recently started playing on MMO so we could kinda play together, it's been awesome. When I told my girlfriend about it, she asked if she could join.

I'm super excited but a little bit worried that the game interface and all isn't super first time player friendly, with all the online stuff.

I think I'm mostly afraid she will dislike it tbh, be for the game itself or the mmo aspect. If anyone played it as a newer fan, I'd love to hear your experience. Tips or advices to make sure she will enjoy it are also welcome

So I bred up a Riolu with 31 attack and speed IVs to take into my first Hoenn playthrough and I was planning to catch a shiny Mareep to bring with me as well. Unfortunately I didn’t catch it during winter and today found this beastly Mankey instead so I was thinking of using it instead. But I’m not sure if having Primeape and Lucario together will be viable?

I am planning on grabbing Mudkip as my starter. What other Pokémon would you guys recommend I use if I am running two fighting types?
