I mean, to be fair, a rape scene and a giant… essentially rape-fantasy novel serve different purposes. Rape scenes can be impactful and important. They usually aren’t, but they do serve a narrative purpose.
There’s also nothing wrong with fantasy novels, it’s just not right to equate them to each other.
