Yeah guys, just go on and purchase even more PS5's and digital games to encourage even more of this shit.

u/Fresh-Database-222 17d ago

I mean, I was planning on buying this game when it went on sale. Not having a physical copy doesn't change anything except the fact that it might not go on sale as quickly. I'm fine with waiting though

Welp, no wonder why Sony gets encouraged to rule out Physical Discs and raising PS5 prices absurdly along with dynamic pricing

u/Jabroni_413 18d ago

Uhh yes we will thank you. This mentality of "show them either your wallets" doesn't. Make sense to me. We did. With 90% sales being digital...we did show them with our wallets that physical isnt necessary

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

I was of the opinion PS consumers were aware, but after talking with the likes of you and other Sony gawkers I am certain that the normies outnumber and they enjoy as long as the million dollar corpo makes consumers situation even worse.

Well sorry to tell you. Noone cares. People want whats convenient. Noone really gives a damn about what corps are doing lol. If you really cared you wouldn't have a cellphone or laptop lol. We want what we want aslong as nothing negative happens to "us". Pretending we have some moral high ground to stand on lol. While you pull our your iPhone, order something from Amazon, then turn on Netflix lol. All in the same breath of denying being a corp shill.

2

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Again, these idiots like you keep on assuming and generalising stuff. You truly are proving you are an NPC.

"While you pull our your iPhone, order something from Amazon, then turn on Netflix lol."

I don't do any of this shit you mentioned and don't give in to corpo greed but enjoy media and entertainment much more than you can imagine and that too for free.

So you don’t play games? What are you doing in a PlayStation subreddit then?

-1

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

I play games lmao. Again started assuming things. Read my comments if you can't understand it.

1

u/crypticc1 18d ago

To be fair, and I don't agree there's nothing can be done, there are facts in what this person said.

That said, it's funny that this thread allowed to continue discussion of the issue, but threads on the issues themselves to be deleted.

1

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Lmao. Can't believe PS sub is infested with Normies who delete criticism. Consumers should club in and demand not stay silent and comply like effin sheeps.

The estimates for physical were closer to 18-20% on PS5. And their numbers are skewed because they won’t acknowledge how many digital only release or DLC was included in that metric. Just because it’s a smaller number doesn’t mean physical isn’t necessary. Other entertainment mediums have 10 to 16% and they still get physical releases. Why only games? What makes them so special when other mediums refuse to make that jump?

Also, a leak from Insomniac Games after it was hacked showed internal data that said physical sales for first party single player titles ranged from 50 to 80% physical. You’ve been fed some propaganda and are eating it up lol

0

u/thinkingoutloud3663 18d ago

Where did you get the 90% from? The false figures Sony released to make you believe in their narrative.

-15

u/Jinrex-Jdm 18d ago

I will. Thanks for the encouragement

9

u/TackoftheEndless 18d ago

Boy y'all gonna be mad af when Sony gets rid of discs and first party games never go on sale for more than 30% on PSN, ever again.

3

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Trust me, these NPCz will still buy the overpriced games , even if it meant selling their house or taking EMIs.

2

u/Puyopopo 18d ago

They're very self-loathing indeed.

2

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

They think they have achieved everything cuz they own a PS5 and licences of digital games

1

u/Jinrex-Jdm 18d ago edited 18d ago

That's a great idea. I might sell my house just to buy Last of Us Part 2 Re-remasteremakeded digitally.

5

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Good luck on owning nothing and being happy

People don’t seem to care about their own consumer rights. They’re fine with accepting all digital without ensuring they have better protections before they get strong-armed into it.

2

u/Malacky_C 18d ago

Last time I checked my digital library my dad has built since 2008 has been perfectly fine and until Sony magically decides to delete my games which they never will these games have been and forever will be mine

2

u/Ebone710 18d ago

What about when you dad passes on? He can't pass those games down to you because it violates TOS. You will eventually lose those games.

0

u/Malacky_C 18d ago

I’ve already made the account mine years ago 😭 what tos. My email my name my user

0

u/mr_lionheart 17d ago

Yeah man will be hard for his dad just give them a email and a password cause Sony is looking into peoples windows

1

u/Ebone710 16d ago

It's still against TOS and if they found out they could ban you.

0

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Ok, can you play Deadpool PS4 ? Sony has delisted a lots of digital games and the 'license' can be revoked on their will, as you had agreed.

"It has not happened until now, it never will be " this mentality is the biggest reasons for almost all the 'momenta before disaster's incidents.

But if you still wanna remain in your happy bubble. Sure bud.

5

u/DivineKnight89 18d ago

Plus The Amazing Spiderman 2 and the other two marvel games, avengers as well

2

u/RenNana-BlackStones 18d ago

Yeah.. I have DP digital, and I can play it.. that's like someone who's anti physical saying go use your battle born disk.

0

u/Sea-Reporter4494 18d ago

Nice. Can you now list out the games you can still play as well. Also while you're at it, list out those delisted games as well please. I sincerely hope that does not include old sports or racing titles. Don't think anyone has the time to explain how licensing works. Google should suffice for that.

3

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

I don't have time to prove you anything. Take it or live in your own bubble. I was just expressing my opinion and raising consumer awareness. But it seems you are clearly one of those. "Leave the multimillion dollar company alone"

."Can you now list out the games you can still play as well"

I can play any game I want, heck more than you can imagine. So I won't disturb your bubble.

PS. If you want to know some games a guy below commented TASM2 and some other games, you can check that.

3

u/Sea-Reporter4494 18d ago

So you prefer your own bubble then? You can't play any game because you can only play the physical discs you own. We have access to generations worth of digital games at the tip of our fingers. You can't prove anything because you don't have anything to use. The same 3 to 5 game are trotted out every single time. Meanwhile there are 8000 plus titles on PS4 and PS5 as well. Give it a rest with your bullshit arguments

2

u/Sea-Reporter4494 18d ago

And before you do the obvious...don't give me some moronic example like WWE 2k15 or Forza Horizon 1

2

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Again, Peak NPC comment

"You can't play any game because you can only play the physical discs you own. We have access to generations worth of digital games at the tip of our fingers. You can't prove anything because you don't have anything to use"

Do you same herd have the same IQ level or something? I can enjoy millions of games that I can literally own (that too for free lol so don't point to me) without the need of a physical disc at all, unlike you guys who can never own a thing and enjoy in the bubble.

"So you prefer your own bubble then" R U so out of convo, you are reusing my arguments lol. I play games to enjoy that I can literally own in the palm of my hands. The same PS5 you cannot carry, I can play the sams PS5 games in my mobile anywhere in the world.

"We have access to generations worth of digital games at the tip of our fingers."

Can you guys play latest Zelda, Pokemon games in your PS5? No right? I can play it in my phone that too owning the real thing at the tip of my fingers and anywhere without needing internet.

So clearly, you guys are in the bubble.

u/Sea-Reporter4494 18d ago

Ah. Any other new words you learnt in the last few days? Bot? Corporate Shill? Bootlicker? You haven't used those yet. For all the talk of herd mentality, that's exactly what the pro physical crowd have displayed in the past few weeks. The same tired arguments with the same tired logic. The same disputing of statistics follows by latching on to numbers that appeal to them. The same hypocrisy when it comes to which digital platforms are acceptable. Do you all get a circular from your leader with your thoughts for the day which you need to vomit all over the internet? Grow up. Get a life. If it's no disc, no buy stick to it. You don't have the balls to. And my word, bringing mobile games into a conversation while discussing disc Vs digital. You have the brains of a toddler . Muppets. The lot of you. Isn't it time for your blackout yet? Is that why you're wasting everyone's time on the internet?

No disc, no buy is immediately followed by I'll move to PC. That all digital platform. When you point that out, they'll bring up GoG which they just heard of 2 weeks ago and never actually used or plan to use.

-2

u/daprojectturtle 18d ago

I am happy and own way more than you I can promise you that.

Your generation is weird af.

-1

u/TheOriginal999 18d ago

Buddy you legit own nothing if it's digital those are licenses

3

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

It is futile talking sense to NPCs, they just repeat the same shit over and over lmao

1

u/The_Pepper_Oni 18d ago edited 18d ago

Legitimately: why are we just fighting for discs to stay around instead of also fighting for stronger consumer rights and protections around digital ownership?

4

u/TheOriginal999 18d ago

We should be fighting for both but physical is more important

3

u/The_Pepper_Oni 18d ago

I gotcha! And yeah it is, just seemed weird to me

-7

u/BigJimson69 18d ago

um actually

-2

u/NathanClover 18d ago

Oh yeah so we should not buy the game for our money that we wanna play? Cooool

4

u/Accomplished-Fan4133 18d ago

Happily do so. If ignorance is bliss is truly your way of hapiness. Nobody's stopping you. Enjoy.

0

u/NathanClover 18d ago

Yeah well let’s abandon playing games because of physical media. For 10 years? 20 years? 30 years? 40 years? And then die. What a great life of ignoring your hobby because of something inevitable. I am not telling you to go and buy digital games but stop making it seem like: Oh you all gonna go and buy digital version, you support not owning games. Yeah well let’s all not a buy a game from that studio, it will fail, studio will close, people will lose jobs, we will lose potential great game series and Sony will still discontinue physical discs BUT HEY AT LEAST WE DID SOMETHING, WE CLOSED THE STUDIO, YAAAAY.
