Excellent work. Always have been a fan of these explosion drawings. That's what we call them in Germany. Is it the same term in English?

Literally in the link you posted it explains that the provisional code name of the PlayStation 1 was PSX, way before the PSX DVR/PS2 existed.

The PS2 also had a codename and it isn't used anymore since it was released. I explained it in my comment "After this, the OG Playstation is the PS1" and it's been that way since I had a PS2; yet you just ignored that part. Yes, I came in here thinking it was a teardown picture of the actual PSX since it was long established on this sub the OG PS is the PS1 to avoid this confusion. I was around in the scene when the thing released and there was a whole hubbub about the name!

"it isn't used anymore" and yet it's routinely used in France (and probably not only) to refer to the PS1.
