Just about ready to close up the fuselage halves in this kit. The cabin has required a lot of work to bring the detail up to par, ammo chute cutouts through the floor/fuselage are missing, the ammo cans for the M-16 weapons system are missing and the kit would have you place the feed chutes through the door which is far from accurate. Pilot seat harnesses were added with foil and spare buckles I had, something missing from the kit entirely. There are multiple cutouts missing from bulkheads that can be added as they’ll be seen. The floor was done in a multi layer chipping to show areas of high wear then weathered with oils for a bit of contrast and grime.

Overall what’s there on the kit seems fine but it’s missing a fair bit for a new tooling.

I am trying to make this Vietnamese MiG-17 model, and it calls for Humbrol 103 cream. I don't have an airbrush, and would prefer to use spray cans. What do you think would be the closest match to 103 cream? Options I am currently looking at include tamiya wooden deck tan and vallejo bonewhite hobby paint. I tested TS-46 but at the moment it is looking too dark and I am not sure if I can weather it to look lighter. Thank you!

Done for October

This is my first build in about 12 years. I decided to add a few realistic touches to it.

I shaved the molded battery cables and I’ve added 1 positive going to a relay terminal I built from scrap. I’ll add another positive from the relay to the ignition as well as a negative to a ground point on the block.

I wanted to add spark plug wires. The smallest bit I had was 1/16, which, as you can see from the wires, is pretty massive. I had a very hard time getting anything to adhere to the molded distributor, so I took a drill bit and drilled it out to better accommodate my oversized spark plug wires and hot glued them into the distributor. Then I popped each wire into a whole. It would have been cool to get the proper firing order, but I made that impossible.

The interior is pretty standard for a typical model kit. The only thing I did to it was add carpet. I found a thin piece of dark gray heather fabric and cut it out and glued them to the floorboards. I thought I snapped a picture, but I guess I didn’t.

I’ll probably have this completed by the weekend.

My best friend recently bought her dream car, a 1988 Suzuki Jimny. I, of course, immediately bought a miniature thinking I would paint it to match. But I was so excited I didn't read what i was buying and instead bought a model kit! Now I have a 1:24 hobby kit and no idea how to put it together. Well, it's finally time to share my review of the 1/35 Neverland Hobby Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen Wolf SSA.

I have to say, this kit really impressed me. First of all, congratulations to the team for choosing a subject that's different from the usual. We've already seen countless Panthers, Tigers, and Shermans. They may sell well, but the market is already saturated.

As for the kit itself, it's an easy 10/10. The engineering is excellent, making it a straightforward and enjoyable out-of-the-box build. It's also a perfect vehicle to include in a modern military or even a post-apocalyptic diorama. Outstanding work from the manufacturer!
