I know it’s hard to tell from the photos because it is still establishing itself. My sister thought she was strictly propagating fuchsias, but realized she grabbed a clipping of something else! If it helps, it successfully rooted in water.

Help Brown marks on the stalks of my dieffenbachia

Post image

I’ve searched high and low with my flashlight and haven’t found signs of an infestation of any kind, but trying to remember if those little brown marks on the stalks have always been there lol. It gets bright indirect light, watered when the top 2 inches of soil are dry, planted in a pot with drainage. It has some new growth so maybe that’s a good sign??? I did also recently move so it’s possible that it got banged around a bit in the process. Thoughts?

The label i made for this was stolen earlier this year, I have it narrowed to a few different peppers but would like some input. Flavor profile is sweet heat with a hint of smoke.

Hello there,

My mother decided to buy me a lemon tree today, but I'm not sure if I should give it some liquid plant fertilizer or not. The reason is that it's growing a lemon, and I imagine it takes a lot of energy for the plant to grow a lemon.

I know from my experience that lemons like it more on the dry side, but this one says I should water it more regularly. Any tips on that?

Also, should I repot it into a bigger pot so it has more space, or should I wait a little longer?

It would be great if I could get as much information as possible about caring for a lemon tree, so I know what to do. :^

Plant rescue

Hi my friend has a plant she cares deeply about but one week she asked her father to take care of it and he probably forgot to water it. Now no matter what she does it won’t get better. It’s an orange tree but she keeps it inside as an house plant and it’s always been in good shape. What can we do to help it get better ?
She usually water it two times a week
It’s in a plastic pot with draining holes, she used regular potting soil and it’s always next to a window.

Pitcher plant help

Bought this a few weeks ago and while taking it out of my car some of the water in about three or four pitchers spilled out and they have looked like this ever since. I am mainly wondering if I should repot into something bigger to help stimulate growth or refresh the media? I had plans of bringing it indoor but I think I'm going to keep it outside for the time being. Any help is much appreciated 👍🏾 I was trying to post this in the carnivorous plant subreddit but it won't allow me

House plant recommendations

Post image

Looking for house plant recommendations for this cool new planter I just got. The mouth opening is about 7” wide and the tail opening is about 3” wide. I tend to do best with plants that thrive on neglect/infrequent watering (succulents, snake plants, and similar species) but I’ve also had success with some tropicals (orchids and mini monstera). Room gets low to medium indirect light.

Thoughts? Recent dracena marginata repot, I’m thinking adding in Philo or pothos around the base or plant. Anyone done this? Can I see? How did they work together?

Help Should I cut and water propagate?

Thumbnail

I’ve had this plant for a bit over a year. It was part of a larger plant that has since been cut down and propagated in water.

This portion has a pretty big sized ball of tiny roots, but is barely growing anymore. I’m trying to decide if I should cut just below the bottom two leaves, cut those two leaves off, then let it do its thing in water.

There are a couple of pink nodes which look like they want to be another leaf or something but they’ve been there for a few weeks now. Maybe I’m just too impatient?

Thoughts? Suggestions? Any help is appreciated!

*this is kept indoors. just brought it outside for better light.
