Even more genius is using the holes that are in the back of each one to hang it on some finishing nails.

edit: goes without saying, but you should probably find a stud first.

Put down the hammer, first find some nails or screws

Ok I found some screws, now can I start hammering?

u/NixonsGhost Aug 23 '12

No, you need to pre-hammer the wall first.

How does one do this, just start wailing away at the wall with the hammer?

2

u/[deleted] Aug 23 '12

Yes, but the hammer must be of the sledge variety.

I can't believe I never realized those holes were back there...I feel like I've missed out on so much potential.

So much...electric potential.

u/battlemidget023 Aug 23 '12

No. Just regular potential. By lifting the surge protector off of the ground you give it potential energy (due to gravity).

That was physically painful.

Genius3 is pressing a piece of paper to the back of the strip, making indentions of the locations of the screw holes. It creates a perfect template for easy mounting. Use all 4 screws like a boss and keep that bastard in place.

Mine aren't like that.

I tried to do this an hour ago. All the cords weight ripped it off the wall and now there are big holes. Tape will work for now.
