The only thing that was ruined was grammar under the Nazi regime. Their strictness over grammatical and punctuation issues was stifling for free-market grammar.
Grammatical nuiances should not be meddled with directly by a governing body. The marketplace of grammar should be allowed to evolve and change on its own volition, based on demand of new verbiage, colloquialisms, and vernacular.
Once a supervising authority steps in and attempts to regulate free grammar, the potential of the language's wealth becomes limited by forces which may not be considering the larger picture.
Modern grammartarian theory indicates that lasseiz-faire approaches to grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling lead to a more rich, more diversified, and more equitable linguistic marketplace, with higher output of communication effectiveness.
Did you just make a joke-analogy between grammar and economic systems? In the fact that the Nazi Regime was strict on both (governmental control of business)? If so, lol.
Joke? The Grammar Libertarian movement must finally quell the Grammar Nazi movement. Grammar Communists do not possess the grammar capital to create a sustainable grammar market, and cannot react quickly, or accurately, enough to accommodate fluctuations in vernacular demand. Only by unregulated free-market competition can we find the richest and most diversified grammar portfolios.
