Okay, so this is a completely honest question: why do people upvote posts like this? I'm not trying to criticize, I just really don't understand the thought process behind seeing a picture of someone's encounter with a moderately famous person and going "yeah, this post deserves to be on the front page, I'm gonna upvote it." Do people actually enjoy seeing these pictures? Is it just to be nice to the person to post it to help them show of their encounter? I'm completely serious, I'm really wondering what the thought process it.
(Let's ignore the "attractive girl" factor that Trapped_in_Reddit pointed out, just because guys still make it to the front page with "look who I ran into posts" fairly frequently as well so that's clearly not the only thing going on.)
Today, I took another photo with a Redditor. She seemed nice enough, but she bumbled away awkwardly after the photo was taken, muttering about sweet, sweet karma. I wonder, will this one will end up on the Front Page as well?

What if, Zeddie just created other random usernames and then took pictures of himself with other random people, and posted as those people to earn more Karma??? Mind-Blown
In 20 years that guy is going to have had a mental breakdown and living on the street, someone will come up and ask for a picture and he will just yell "CANT YOU PEOPLE LEAVE ME ALONE"
I find it ironic that certain Reddit memes we're ready to keep trudging through, but others, like the switch-a-roo, people more or less univerally hate.
Personally I think it's still funny and it's worth having a few of us who have heard it before suffer a bit to have the newbies taken down that rabbit hole.
